Updated: Sep 27, 2018

Maybe you've heard about the new bulletproof coffee craze? Here's some tips on how to make your cup o' joe fuel you all day long.

I want to share with all you lovelies the rocket fuel that helps me get through the day providing energy, help with inflammation & get into ketosis.

  1. Make your coffee. Brew 1 cup (8-12 ounces) of coffee using filtered water with 2 ½ heaping tablespoons of freshly ground Bulletproof Coffee Beans. ...

  2. Add Brain Octane Oil (or any MTC oil of your choice). Add 1 teaspoon to 2 tablespoons of Brain Octane Oil (start slow with this stuff – it's powerful!)

  3. Add grass-fed butter or ghee.

  4. 2 dropperfuls of Charlotte's Web CBD.

  5. Blend.

Among Bulletproof coffee's listed benefits: It triggers weight loss by way of ketosis, a metabolic state triggered by a lack of carbs that kicks fat-burning into overdrive; it kills pesky cravings; and it boosts cognitive function, mainlining a shining dose of mental clarity into your foggy morning skull

Brew On!

Dave Asprey insists on grass-fed, unsalted butter because “there are a lot of inflammatory ingredients in normal butter.” The same applies to much of the coffee sold in the U.S., which he says is filled with fungal toxins. The practice of putting a pat of butter in your morning drink isn't new. In fact, Dave Asprey discovered this during his biohacking journey hiking through the Himalayan mountains. He found that his guides would put yak butter in their morning tea to provide them with sustained energy on their long hikes.

Feel free to play around & add your special mix of adaptogens.

Be original, find your own mix.

Drinking your coffee or tea black or with a tablespoon or two of heavy cream and/or adding a healthy sugar-free sweetener will provide 0-2 grams of carb, making these ideal choices for people who follow keto or low-carb diets. This is by far the best way to order caffeinated beverages at a coffee house. Other options to consider are turmeric, lions mane mushrooms or ashwaganda.

Get Inspired

Grass-fed butter is rich in omega-3s, CLA, beta-carotene, antioxidants, and vitamins A, K, D & E. Not only does mixing butter in your coffee provide your body with all of these essential nutrients your body needs to thrive, but it also keeps you fuller longer, reduces jitters and crashes, provides the brain with the fuel it needs to keep your focus all day long.
